OUR MISSION:
While it is not uncommon for a school to promise to
educate the individual student in their field of interest, our promise is to
educate the student individually. We accomplish this by limiting our
class size to only 8 students. This provides the student with a comfortable,
creative learning environment which focuses on the strengths and weaknesses
of the individual. Too often educators are faced with large classes
that are simply too vast to provide proper feedback to the instructor. We
have been educators in the audio industry in some form since 1973, and we
are not new to education. We have had the opportunity to educate thousands
over the years, and have learned that the best method of training involves
listening to our students. When a student has an academic problem,
the instructor hears this, and offers additional assistance and
training. When a student has a personal problem, the student services
officer hears this and offers support and solutions. Isn't it
interesting that we keep mentioning "hearing"? You'd almost expect this in
an audio school, but that is our point: to be successful educators, we must
listen to you. Students have their own predisposed notions of what makes a
school great; strong curriculum, talented instructors, small classes, etc.
At Audio Recording Technology Institute we believe great students make us a
great school. Not everyone who applies at A.R.T.I. will be accepted, but
those who are, will receive the best education in audio engineering that we
can provide. Our goal is to make your dreams reality, through hard work,
individual attention, and an EXTREME amount of hands-on practice in
world-class studios.
OUR VALUES:
At Audio Recording Technology Institute, our faculty,
staff and administrative team are one big family. Sure, even we have our
dysfunctional moments, but we have very strong ethics, and always strive for
the higher moral ground. In an industry which often shows little respect for
the consumer, we believe that the cornerstone of our society is respect. Our
expectations for the students are very high, and as a result, the program is
extremely challenging. Professional behavior, strong work ethic and even
dress-code standards are part of our training. We are determined to graduate
a higher level of students, and as such we are committed to the axiom,
"Strive for excellence". We take that phrase to heart, and pray that you
will as well.

HISTORY
Audio Recording
Technology Institute's comprehensive engineering program was
developed in Orlando, Florida in response to the music and film
industry's need for qualified technical support in the studio.
The program was
designed by Steve Pietrofesa and Keith LaBeau, who have
years of experience in music production, sound design, and audio
engineering. The focus of the program has always been the
student, and the maximum amount of "hands-on" time for each
participant.
The school is
nationally accredited by ACCSCT.
